What does treatment involve?
Treatment Planning
Treatment would involve a consultation with Dr. Funke. He reviews your main concerns to best address and make necessary corrections to your tooth placement. If you are a good candidate, Dr. Funke will use his intraoral scanner to make digital impressions of your teeth as well as take photographs of your teeth and smile. He works closely with his orthodontic team to create a digital treatment plan and project what your future smile could look like. He will then meet with you to review the treatment plan and answer any questions that you may have regarding treatment.
Starting Treatment
Clear aligners typically take about two to three weeks to be made and shipped to our office. Depending on the indicated treatment, there may need to be small tooth colored attachments (buttons) put on your teeth or slenderizing of the teeth to create necessary space. Dr. Funke would review home wear and care as well as setup treatment interval check ups.
During Treatment
Not all clear aligners are the same. Med City Dental offers clear aligners that are comfortable and predictable! This new aligner material allows for less wear time and a more comfortable wearing experience. Patients report less pain and discomfort during use. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks at a time.
Treatment typically last between 9 to 12 months depending on the severity of the case.
