Dental Crowns

Most dentistry looks like dentistry. Our goal is to provide dentistry that is undetectable. We replace existing crowns and fillings with restorations that look and feel like your natural teeth.

Where damage to a person’s teeth is extreme, and apparently beyond repair, we can use porcelain crowns to make the smile appear “as new”. This is an extremely reliable technique for repairing the most severe dental problems, even permanently replacing missing teeth to offer a complete smile and a functional bite.

Dental crowns (caps) are necessary when a tooth has had a bad fracture, a large filling that is breaking down, after root canal therapy, or has decay around it. A crown will cover, protect, seal and strengthen the tooth. The tooth is cleaned out and reinforced with a strong titanium composite and then reduced and prepared for the application of a crown.

Dr. Funke strives to provide the most up to date services possible. Dr. Funke is now offering same-day crown, inlay, and onlay technology using CEREC technology for many restorative cases. Dr. Funke is able to scan, design, mill, characterize, and bond permanent crowns, inlays, and onlays in a single visit. CEREC technology can eliminate the need for temporary crowns. This technology can also be used to scan and send a digital impression of your teeth to the dental lab for fabrication of veneers, bridges, and implant restorations. CEREC technology eliminates the need for the dental “goop” impressions that many offices use.
