New Patient Experience
First Dental Visit
We consider your first visit to be the most important appointment you will have in our office. Your oral health examination will be unlike any other you have received in another dental office. The approach will be thorough and comprehensive. You will be encouraged to ask questions and voice concerns throughout the process. We will seek to understand your current oral concerns and any underlying factors that affect your smile. We then co-diagnose any problems or issues and together determine what type of treatment might be appropriate for you after discussing the options.
What will happen
At your examination appointment, we would first like to get acquainted with you. We will review your medical and dental history. We will take necessary digital dental images and photographs that will aid in making a diagnosis, developing a treatment plan, and predicting your future dental health. This exam also includes a head, neck, and oral cancer screening exam, TMD and bite analysis, and full periodontal status and smile analysis. We will also perform a charting in which we document fillings, crowns, and missing teeth. Dr. Carlson will check for decay, wear, fractures, and tooth mobility. This exam will take an hour of your time. In our patient’s best interest, we prefer not to schedule a cleaning at this first visit. It is very important to evaluate all your dental concerns and needs first and then schedule your appointments accordingly. To conclude your examination visit, we will give you an estimate of cost of your treatment plan. If your treatment plan is complex we may schedule another visit to consult with you about your dental needs to help you better understand your treatment options.
Financial
We participate in dental insurance plans that do not restrict your options. We do not participate in dental plans that restrict your choice of provider or place limits that may influence your choice of care options. Our office will complete and submit dental insurance forms to your insurance company to achieve the maximum reimbursement to which you are entitled. We pride ourselves in helping you in any way necessary. We will continue to provide the quality care you deserve. Payment is appreciated on the day of service. We accept cash, checks, Care Credit, and MasterCard or Visa payments. We have a limited in-house payment plan available that can be pre-arranged with our financial coordinator.
We offer a payment plan called Care Credit. Care Credit has plans to fit almost every need with a wide range of no interest (if paid in the promo period) and low interest payment plan options.
